About the DIGITAL SCENE KC Series
Our DIGITAL SCENE KC events are large, informal gatherings that encourage participants to connect with each other in a casual, after-hours session with free food and drink available. Each event features a subject or discipline of importance to Kansas City’s digital media industry. A “best-practice” company in that discipline is asked to host that event so that area media professionals can learn about the company’s contributions to the local industry. Guest exhibitors or host exhibitors are featured during the event so that participants can connect directly with experts in the discipline featured for that event.
Guest exhibitors may be from media businesses, area universities, career development organizations, professional organizations or area non-profits. Host experts are selected from within the host organization. (Want to be a guest exhibitor or event host? Let us know here).
Each event is organized around a digital media theme and is hosted in a cool, intriguing location related to that event’s theme. Events to date have been held in venues as diverse as the UMKC AR/VR labs and Trinity Animation’s offices in Corporate Woods.
