HOST PROFILE

Jon Trozzolo is a Kansas City media veteran and collector who spent decades curating the extensive collection that forms the Media Tech Museum. In addition to founding and owning the museum, he serves as a mentor with the Film Connection film institute in Kansas City. His lifelong passion for preserving communications history led to the opening of the museum in June 2026 in the Crossroads Arts District, bringing together nearly a thousand artifacts that tell the story of 150 years of media evolution.  Jon is a Kansas City media veteran whose multi-faceted career spans decades across film, video, and creative production.

ABOUT THE MEDIA TECH MUSEUM

Located in Kansas City's vibrant Crossroads Arts District, the Media Tech Museum offers an immersive journey through 150 years of communications history, showcasing nearly a thousand curated artifacts that bridge the gap between vintage analog technology and modern digital innovation. Visitors can explore dynamic exhibits spanning early telegraphs, telephones, phonographs, and 1940s radio gear alongside historic broadcast TV cameras, film equipment, retro audio-video formats (such as 8-tracks, LaserDiscs, and early iPods), and contemporary video technology. Designed as an interactive cultural and educational hub, the museum allows guests to experience firsthand the physical tools that shaped global media, illustrating the profound evolution of how humans connect, record, and tell stories.
